5 Days Left


Hello everyone, it's been some time since the last update but I didn't want to upload a new build before having something significant to show, but right now the counter marks 5 days left and some hours....and I just finished some features I wanted to show. First, death is a thing, something like that, for now you can play with up to 5 friends and kill each other deathmatch style, you will respawn 5 seconds later for eternity or till you get bored. This is just so you can test the other features I implemented. First of all pickups, we have 3 pickups, one for shield, ammo, and weapon upgrades. The first two are self explanatory, but I need to explain that I imagine a game where health doesn't recover, but shield does, so you have to take care of your health and protect it, case it doesn't heal...spaceships dont heal they are machines. The Upgrade pickups level up 1 level your current equiped weapon, since we only have one weapon for know you can only upgrade the blaster. Now you will start with a 1 shot blaster, then a two shots one, a finally a 3 shots. Be wary of your ammo cause more firepower means faster ammo depletion. I imagined at least 1 more weapon for this jam, but time is not on my side, but who knows, 5 days left and all that.

A new mechanic in the game is the boost, you gain 5 times speed, but can only move forward and turn with the mouse, no strafing or ascending, descending. Use it to explore or escape your opponents. 

So...next comes the real battle royale stuff, killing will be final, the arena will shrink, etc. 

Also missing are, lots of points of interest that would be in the map, but my 3D artist has been busy, but at least one location will make into the game I'm sure. Some visual effects, and UI like the minimap hopefully will be ready, and maybe a second weapon. 

And....thats all I think....ah no, I've implemented levels of graphic quality to the game, if the game runs poorly try lowering the quality, LOD leves are active on all the qualities either way, so know that optimization has been in the process from the start. But with thousands of entities loaded all the time it's a challenge.

Now that's all, I think...maybe, whatever.
